Spread 190 – Everything is Connected
Fall 2014
Nova Color paint, black and white gesso, vintage photographs, vintage wallpapers and papers, matte medium, matte varnish, Sigano white gel pen, black Micron pen, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Orly Avineri stencils.
This spread is from an art journaling class with Orly Avineri. Everything I do is connected. I work in my garden. I cook a meal for friends. I take a break. I work in my journal. I draw. I view an inspiring piece of graffiti on the train. I breath. My interactions. It is all connected with who I am.
Really loving this Brian – especially the orange pattern on the upper right page, beautiful
That pattern is from one of Orly’s stencils.
Yes indeed my dear dear friend Brian…how lucky are we to have been finally able to connect the dots, the missing ones…feeling so grateful. I love this spread very much, the image, the contemplative spirit, standing there, leaning against the other page…isolated a bit…yet somewhat centered on the spread…it moves me.
So many connections! Thank you my dear creative friend! I love you!
Love the way you visually connected the individual pieces with the spread. Art imitates life!
Everything is really connected. Most of us don’t pay attention to connecting the dots. Love this piece and thanks for sharing.
Aloha, Kate
Absolutely spectacular. This piece could be on canvas and in a museum. 🙂
I love the movement of that green line. I also agree with John – this would be great on canvas!
