Spread 0111 – OGG – Maui
01 Nov 2012
Crackle paste, acrylic paint, vintage and personal images, maps, sigano white and black gel pen.
Our first trip to Maui was a month ago yet it still has an effect on me. It was not the perfect trip, but it was pretty darn close. I can’t think of Maui except for longing to go back and just do nothing, lounging on the beach and snorkeling.
Nice Brian- soothing colors- I can hear the ocean. Hey great postcard in the mail today-thanks!
Very nice, poetic Brian, beautifully giving what your words are giving.
Beautiful, Brian … beautiful!!
Peaceful and colorful. great combination!
Though I have never been to any of the islands of Hawaii, your spread FEELS like being there: sand, water, people and culture are coming through in waves for me…sorry about the pun, it just came out!
I hope one day you can return to Maui Brian – it sounds like a wonderful time was had =-)
Having heard about your trip I can see how relaxing and soothing it was for you and you represented that feeling in this piece. The colors you used exude warmth and breezes.
Like!
