Why Fear My Marriage?
Another “Street Art” spread from Orly Avineri’s fabulous, wonderful class. I love street art that makes a statement. I recently went to the MOCA’s “Art in the Streets” exhibit. It is controversial yes, but it is wonderful. It just excited me to go home and do some street art in my journal. While I was there, there were several school groups there studying the exhibit. It was fun to watch their excitement and reaction to the exhibits. When was the last time you went to a museum? Goooooo!
Orly Avineri does such a wonderful class, if you ever get a chance to take one of her classes, please do! It is such a wonderful experience. It was in her beautiful comfortable, warm home. The class was amazing. It was so nurturing, creative, energizing. I went home with a smile and such a warm feeling it’s carried over into my Monday!
So experience some street art of your own, pick up some shtuff you find in the street and make some art out of it! I know I will be having my eye out for shtuff in the street.
“Beautiful…warm…comfortable…amazing…nurturing…creative…energizing”
……………The adjectives to describe you and my other oh so lovable students.
Great pages..talking about “Off The Street, into the journal”.

This is a wonderful post Brian! and I agree with Orly. It does seem that everyone contributes to the amazing atmosphere of the workshops =-)
I’m hoping to see the MOCA exhibit and I’ll be seeing one at Pasadena Museum of California Art that is also on street art:

School will be out when I attend these shows so I won’t be able to see reactions of kids which I’m sure were great!
