Memories are tricky things. We tend to look at much of the past in romantic ways. We worry about the future. We seldom live in the present. Each present moment with our loved ones is so very precious and fleeting. I choose to live very much in the present. Get those memories out and on the paper. It is ok to take them out once in a while and look at them but keep them in their place. Our journals can be such a wonderful way to look at the past in a different light and to work through things.
Not sure about all your memories, but there is a lot of symbolism on these pages. And this is so well done. It’s like a study in both color AND composition.
Thanks so much for your very meaningful words. It’s so easy to get caught up in the detritus of living, that we often forget to pay attention to the life we are immersed in and that surrounds us.
Have enjoyed watching your art evolve.
I love what you are saying here, and the ‘Luchador’ too…LOL
