Spread 218 – “Heart and Soul on a Page”
15 January 2017
“6.5 X 8” altered book
Nova color and PaperArtsy paint, black and white gesso, distress inks, matte medium, matte gel, vintage and personal papers.
I was fortunate enough to spend the weekend at an Orly Avineri art retreat with a group of wonderful artists. This spread is from Orly’s wonderful class. Gifts were given, feelings were re-awakened. So many feels. As someone said “we put our hearts and soul on paper”. I have not really art journaled in many months. I finally felt like myself, and was fully opened. So grateful. Thank you Orly. With so much love and admiration.
Love this spread and so glad you found your way back to making such great art after these past few months. You continue to inspire.
Thank you Beau. Thank you.
A beauty Brian, I feel your love and joy!
Jacki thank you! It’s been too long.
Loving this Brian, I wish I could see it in person. I know the texture is just wonderful.
Love this Brian and I love you. Journaling is exactly that heart and soul on paper- and also what Orly said in April when we were together- it’s a short cut to our heart. Thank you for sharing- so happy to have our friendship.
I am glad I had a chance to meet you, Brian!
Janet! I am too!!!! Hope to see you again soon!!! Keep art journaling!!!
