I am inspired by graffiti. Is it art? Is it tagging? Is it social commentary? Who is to say? Check out the “Art in the Streets” exhibit at MOCA in Los Angeles. It is amazing. This is my Personal Graffiti. The first spread in my XL Moleskine 11.5 X 16.5 Volume 2. Started 13 April 2011. I reserve the right to add and obliterate this spread… it is my Personal Graffiti, subject to my moods and whims… Go graffiti in your journal… Go ahead… who needs permission?
Very cool…Love what you wrote…Did you go see the exhibit or are you planning to?…We’ll be there on Sunday, cannot wait! So liberating isn’t it?

Awesome! I love graffiti. Where I live I got stuck waiting for freight trains to pass pretty regularly and just relax and check out all the creative tagging. Amazing what you see made with minimal supplies…
I looked at the small version and than at the big version and only one word came to mind: hypnotizing.
Fantastic. I think this is one of my favorites that you have done!
Great spread Brian! I think ‘graffiti’ is all of the above, though I prefer to see most of it as ART and there is much of it to be seen on the streets of L.A. =-)
I hope I can make it to the exhibit at MOCA!
