Spread 0163 – Mending Holes
23-24 March 2014
Vintage and found papers, tracing paper images, matte medium, black and white gesso, Nova color acrylic paint, Distress Inks, matte varnish, Sigano white gel pen, string and cord.
Why do I journal? I journal to mend the holes in my soul and make me whole.
This is just one of four spreads done in Orly Avineri’s wonderful workshop – “Holes” from this past weekend. If you have not taken a workshop with Orly you really owe it to yourself to take the time to do it. You will be so glad you did. Pure Joy.
Most brilliant ever..XO
Quite amazing! I love the holes. I think you used some of the fabric paper from your Orange Co. art store, too. I love this piece. I love that you used a Dick and Jane passage. I learned to read on Dick and Jane stories. So cool!
Spectacular! I love it!
This is a fantastic spread, Brian! I totally love what you did around the figure, too.
I love this one Brian,I especially love the rhino looking foward to what comes. You don’t see many rhino’s in art these days!
Great spread Brian! Love the colors and imagery! Yes, Orly’s workshops are amazing and definitely a ‘bucket list’ item for anyone who keeps an art journal =)
Love this one 🙂
I really like this. I am not the best at drawing, but I am trying. That is why I love images and collage. The depth and coloring is amazing!
beautiful mending going on in your pages and perhaps your heart…
I always love your colors! 🙂
