Spread 0118 – Lessons
January 2013
Vintage and personal papers, napkin transfers, acrylic paint, gesso and matte medium.
I have recently started private study with Orly Avineri. A few artist friends asked “Why?” My answer. I crave to be challenged, I yearn to go farther. I want my art to be more authentically me. Actually I am learning so very much more about myself.

Happy New Year, Brian! This is just stunning! I’ve enjoyed catching up here on your blog. Enjoy your studies with Orly. We can ALL learn new things from other creatives – you’d be surprised at what I’ve learned from YOU! 🙂
Beautiful colors and textures.
Private study with Orly! Lucky you!
Love the colors you are using in this spread and I can see Orly’s influence here as well…it will be interesting to see how your style evolves under the private tutelage!

Wonderful Brian. The layers are so inviting- makes me wish I could climb into them. Beautiful work.
Anybody who knows Orly would not have to ask you why you would want to study with her. Enjoy the experience!
Really terrific, Brian. It is like the arrival of spring.
I love it.
Amazing work, you are definitely an inspiration! Challenging yourself is the greatest gift. Have a wonderful time with your studies with Orly!
